How to receive an alert when any post starts to receive too many negative or positive comments?

Negative feedback and comments on a post can harm a brand's image and reputation, while positive comments can help to build a positive image. You may want to pause an ad post that is receiving a lot of negative feedback or boost a post that is resonating very well and getting many positive comments.

In this guide, you will learn how to receive an alert when any post starts to receive too many negative or positive comments so that you can take the appropriate action.

1. Go to Notifications & create a custom notification

  • Head over to the Notifications tab

  • Choose the Custom Notification option

2. Choose the sentiment

Select whether you want to receive alerts for positive or negative sentiment.

3. Check "Any individual post"

Under the Post Id or URL filter, select "Any individual post" to track all your posts individually.

Then click Next to proceed.

4. Specify the threshold

Define the threshold for the number of negative comments that are too unusual for your brand within one (or more) hour.

For example, if receiving more than 20 negative comments in any individual post within one hour is already an alarming amount for your normal volumes, then use that threshold.

Choose the subscribers and click Create Notification.
